African Binga basket
SKU: BBMED90
An African Binga basket also known as Tonga baskets. These baskets are woven in the Binga district of Zimbabwe on radials of 'creepers' (vines), and palm leaves are sometimes dyed with bark and roots to make up the designs. Traditionally the baskets were used for winnowing maize. Togan baskets are very decorative and the radial design fits into any modern and traditional scheme, they can be hung on walls or used as containers on a table.
