These striking lampshades are made from authentic Ikat fabrics, traditionally handwoven in Uzbekistan using time-honoured techniques. Produced on narrow looms, each length of fabric is dyed with natural vegetable pigments and meticulously patterned using the classic resist-dye Ikat method.
Because the dyeing and weaving are done by hand, no two lengths of fabric are exactly alike—and the colourways are made in limited quantities only. Once a design is gone, it cannot be repeated, making every lampshade a rare, limited edition piece.
